What makes for successful teaching & learning?

In this interactive workshop Yvonne will be discussing the findings from her recent research conducted for the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) regarding international perspectives on innovation in teaching and learning in vocational education and training. Yvonne will be discussing implications for adult literacy teaching and learning.

Speaker: Professor Yvonne Hillier
Yvonne Hillier is Professor of Education in the Education Research Centre at the University of Brighton, England. Yvonne’s background is in adult numeracy and literacy teaching and learning, and with Mary Hamilton from the University of Lancaster, she was project leader for The major study “Changing Faces of Adult Literacy, Numeracy and ESOL – A Critical History of Policy and Practice 1970-2000”.
