QCAL 2009 Annual State Conference

Invitation & Call for Presentations 5-6 November 2009

The Committee of QCAL invites expressions of interest for presentations of lectures and workshop presentations for this conference. All presentations should address the conference theme.

Closing date for abstracts:  1 September 2009

Keynote Speakers:

  • Dr John Benseman, Upskilling Principal Researcher, Department of Labour, New Zealand
  • Mr Ron Cox, Director, Adult & Vocational Education & Training, Queensland Corrective Services
  • Dr Sarah Prestridge, Lecturer, Computers in Education, Griffith University.
     

Conference participants may include adult literacy and numeracy practitioners, vocational teachers and trainers, prison educators, volunteer tutors, policy makers, academics and tertiary students.

Venue:
State Library of Queensland
Cultural Centre, Southbank

Submit abstracts for lectures and seminars (40 mins + 10 mins for questions) or workshop presentations (1.5 hrs) using the abstract submission form following & on the QCAL website http://www.qcal.org.au//  Please submit abstracts to: info@qcal.org.au

Further information on the conference will be emailed to members for whom we have addresses and will also be found on the QCAL website.
